My client currently maintain more than 4,800 kilometres of track and civil infrastructure assets that stretch from Western Australia through South Australia into New South Wales with expansion into Rail Construction.
Due to continual company growth they are currently seeking a Bid Manager Rail to join their team.
Reporting to the Business Manager SA and Bids, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of this company’s position as a recognised industry leader in the delivery of services.
You will achieve this by leading, directing and supporting the preparation of professional, high quality, innovative, and commercially successful tenders and proposals. The role also contributes to Business Development activities and provides support to Operations Management in the delivery of sustainable profit and growth targets, through the provision of high quality tendering and proposal development activities.
You will effectively plan, programme, manage and report on the preparation of tenders and client proposals, lead tenders and client proposals to meet submission deadlines and internal approval protocols, manage and coordinate commercial and legal review of tender and proposal documentation, manage, lead and participate as required in the “Hand Over” process of successful tenders to project/contract management.
Considerable project and bid management experience as well as the ability to influence and negotiate good outcomes, along with superior written and verbal communication skills and a proactive approach will enable you to fully succeed in this role.
Experience in Railway Construction, Railway Maintenance or Infrastructure Projects gained from within rail, automotive, military, defense, avionics or any other safety critical environment will be very highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in an application technical or industry discipline ie Civil or Mechanical Engineering, knowledge and experience in project management principles and practices, contract/commercial skills and experience (including commercial law) and highly developed MS Office computer skills including MS Project or equivalent.
This position is Adelaide based, however a flexible approach to travel throughout Australia will be required.
