The Client:
Our client is the carrier of choice delivering managed bandwidth services for video, data and voice. Their aim is to stimulate competition to regional areas having built a broadband network providing carriers, ISPs and governments with connectivity for mission critical services.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity now exists for a Network Engineer to join the Engineering Department. The successful candidate responsibilities will involve network design, implementation, and integration, and also will provide technical support to other departments as well as external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake detailed network design for the implementation of network projects
• Undertake network optimisation, network performance and reliability engineering activities
• Undertake inspection and commissioning of facilities and other field operations
• Develop technical specifications for projects and equipment
Qualifications and skills required
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative in addressing complex tasks
• An understanding of data network technologies
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• IP/MPLS, SDH experience essential DVB also preferred but not essential
