The job responsibilities include application analysis, design development and support. You should have some Object Oriented programming and Scripting experience, as well as experience using relational databases, preferably SQL Server and/or Oracle.

Job Description:

Applies analysis and development skills to resolving both technical and business issues, developing procedures and tools as necessary.
Identifies and points out opportunities for systems improvement.
Assists Production Support Analysts, Developers and QA Engineers as necessary to troubleshoot and maintain production systems and software.
Takes ownership of assigned tasks and issues, carrying them through to completion or resolution with minimal instruction and supervision.
Writes clean, well documented and commented code.
Produces clear and concise software and/or systems specifications, as required to achieve business objectives.
Proven experience or knowledge within financial markets and terminology a bonus.

Requirements:

3+ years experience in a systems support and/or technical support role.
Experience with enterprise RDBMS such as SQL Server or Oracle;
Some experience with database design and implementation, and able to read and write complex SQL instructions.
Experience with Object Oriented design.
Demonstrated entry-level experience with software development using any or all of the following technologies: VB6/COM, VB.Net/C#, Java, XMLDOM, XSL/XSLT, HTML/DHTML/XHTML, JavaScript, HTC/XBL, etc.
A basic understanding of the networking and authentication issues/concerns arising when applications on varying platforms interact over local and remote networks.
