Fit Out Project Manager – Northern Suburbs
My client is the benchmark of the fitout industry. With over 20 years in the market, they have developed a reputation of being industry leaders in Retail, Commercial and Hospitality fitout projects
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager within the Fit out industry to join this well-established retail fit out company located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.
With over 60 staff and a purpose built factory on site, my client uses state of the art equipment and offers excellent staff training.
Key responsibilities would involve:
- Responsible for delivering multiple projects from pre-construction through to defect liability and hand over period
- Deliver your project to the highest standard of client satisfaction and quality
- Letting of all trades and services contracts; including subcontractor negotiation to obtain best price
- Closely control project expenditure and assurance that purchase orders/invoices are approved within the limit of authority
- Manage and coach Project Coordinators, Site Managers and Site Coordinators
- Generate construction programmes to ensure detailed planning of time, costs and quality of projects
- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
- Implement and manage client project delivery systems
- OHS&E responsibilities as outlined in the OHS&E manual
Key requirements would include:
- Minimum 8 years as a Project Manager within construction industry
- Industry knowledge
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Determination to push forward
- Ability to travel to jobsites as required
- Strong computer skills in MS office programs - excel, word, outlook and project
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to track and coordinate multiple projects at the same time
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of success in repetitive retail construction
- Excellent communication skills
A generous salary package of $100 - $125k will be negotiated based on experience.
