Chief Operating Officer - Asia
As part of the management team you will primarily be responsible for ensuring our systems and operational infrastructure can support outstanding execution of current programs as well as ensuring we remain in a leading position among our competitors. You will possess strong management skills, an understanding of what it takes to scale a company, have a financial background and have the ability to define/implement the project management systems and processes across functions that are necessary to sustain continued growth. Along with these responsibilities, you will manage day-to-day operating activities, including revenue growth, expense, cost and margin control, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational goal management.

Specifically you will...

  • Plan and manage all aspects of our operational policies, objectives and initiatives
  • Be responsible for the attainment of short and long term financial and operational goals
  • Review and evaluate business procedures
  • Implement programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit
  • Provide direction and structure for operating units
  • Ensure excellent relationship with both employees and customers
  • Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services
  • Provide leadership and communicate the mission and goals of the organisation to all direct reports
  • Prioritise projects
  • Manage performance monthly reviews of key metrics across functions, to be presented and evaluated by each team monthly
  • Provide support to team members in developing their skills and competencies
  • Conduct performance reviews for team members
  • And anything else we throw on your desk!


What you need...

  • Advanced degree holder with at least 15 years of experience in handling operations, 5 years of which in an executive or Senior Management level i.e. VP, General Manager or Director in a Multinational Company (500+ employees)
  • Hands on, highly organised and directed leader
  • Ability to balance the need for operational efficiency with agility and innovation and represent the company from an operational perspective
  • Possess strong financial, marketing and analytical skills
  • Strong strategic planning, management and execution skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution and decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Complete fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Collaborative team player that is able to build consensus and is comfortable operating within a fast paced, entrepreneurial organisation
  • Unquestionable integrity, with high professional standards and a strong work ethic.
  • Firmness and focused commitment to the business mission, vision and values of the company, with the flexibility required to effectively navigate a changing business environment
  • Proven ability to craft and deliver messages and presentations to the senior management team and employees
  • Ability to function at a broad-based, strategic level while being capable of driving detailed, tactical execution. A high sense of urgency and a commitment to delivering results is essential
  • Personal stature and maturity. Not overly concerned with status and comfortable with the ambiguity associated with a dynamic, changing environment
