A Return to Work Coordinator is required for an immediate start in the Gladstone area to provide face to face professional and customer focused  Return to Work Coordinator services with an emphasis on achieving fast,safe and durable return to work.

 

Day-to-Day Duties;

  • Assist with the transportation of injured workers to medical appointment and treatment
  • Assist with arranging medical appointment for injured workers
  • Liaising with medical professions, site supervisors and workers to discuss return to work
  • Working with the Brisbane based RTW Specialist to assist in the management to develop and implement RTW programs.
  • Act as a site contact to communicate back to Brisbane any concerns or issues that affect the return to work of injured workers.
  • Lodge WorkCover medical certificate with WorkCover QLD and with Brisbane Team.
  • Update claim files via internal systems
  • Attend or contact treatment providers to obtain updates on progress
  • Escalate concerns and non responses from any stakeholder with Brisbane Team
  • Follow up sign off all RTW Plans prior to worker commencing work back on site
  • Assist Brisbane Team in the development and delivery of site based training programs
  • Attend Tool Box meetings to address RTW process and develop on site relationships
  • Conduct courtesy phone calls to stakeholders to obtain feedback on the RTW progress
  • Actively participate in and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Identify and report risk that may affect c claim, our client or business
  • Actively participate in team meetings and project activities as required



The successful candidate will have;

  • QLD Return to Work Rehabilitation accreditation
  • PC literate - Microsoft and data base
  • Previous experience as a Return to Work Coordinator or in workers compensation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Confident discussing with multiple stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of general business and administrative practices
  • A professional presentation and the ability to work outside core working hours if required
  • A flexible approach when faced with competing priorities Willingness to provide support to other in the team if required
